German for Care Workers B1/B2 – Communication & Documentation (Online Evening Course)

Feel confident in your day-to-day care work – learn flexibly from home. This practical online course prepares international care workers over 24 weeks to meet the linguistic challenges of the German healthcare system. The aim: to conduct confident conversations with patients, doctors and colleagues, and to produce legally compliant documentation.

Modules 1–3: From admission to wound care
Conducting admission interviews, writing patient histories, dealing with dementia, as well as specialist vocabulary and documentation for cardiovascular diseases and pressure ulcer prevention.

Modules 4–5: Successful interaction & organisation
Complaints management, professional team meetings, empathetic conversations in difficult situations (e.g. offering condolences), as well as telephone calls and email correspondence within the team.

Modules 6–7: Documentation & Prevention
Drafting legally compliant care reports, formulating care plans (resources and objectives), dealing with MRSA, and writing accident reports.

Modules 8–10: Teamwork, Law & Self-Care
Structured handover procedures and patient transfers, legal principles (Medical Devices Act, delegation of medical tasks, restraints), as well as key strategies for burnout prevention and peer support.
